Daily Devotions

Today’s Scripture: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Matthew 5:6 ESV 

Theme: Jesus was the ultimate example of righteousness. We can start to be more like Him by growing our relationship with Him. 

Today’s Scripture: "God blesses those who are humble for they shall inherit the whole earth." Matthew 5:5, NLT  

Theme: Those with a humble, servant’s heart will be exalted and rewarded by God.   

Today’s Scripture: “God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4, NLT  

Theme: God can turn mourning into joy by the power of His Spirit, for those who lean on Him.  

Today’s Scripture: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3, ESV 

Theme: Those who are financially or spiritually poor are blessed because they more easily recognize they need God. 

Today’s Scripture: “Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.” Romans 1:24-25, ESV 

Theme: Choosing lies over Truth hurts us, yet God allows us to choose.
