Daily Devotions

Today’s Scripture: “Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11 

Theme: Jesus’ life and character show us who God is: Jehova Nissi (Banner of victory).  

Today's Scripture: “And this is the name by which he will be called: ‘The Lord is our righteousness.’ Jeremiah 23:6b, ESV 

Theme: Jesus’ life and character show us God as Jehovah Tsidkenu (The LORD is our Righteousness). 

Today’s Scripture: “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 

Theme: Jesus’ life and character show us who God is—Jehovah Shalom (The God of peace). 

Today’s Scripture: “I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me.” John 10:14, ESV 

Theme: At Easter, we recognize Jesus as the One who shows us that God is Jehova Raah (the LORD is our Shepherd). 

Today's Scripture: “Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud and said to him, ‘Go, wash in the pool of Siloam’ (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.” John 9:6-7, ESV 

Theme: At Easter, we recognize Jesus as the One who shows us that God is Jehova Jirah (the God who provides) and Jehovah Rapha (The God who heals).
