Thursday - PREPARED FOR AN UNDERTAKING

Today’s Scripture: “But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb,” Luke 24:1-2, ESV 

Theme: Jesus’ followers returned to the tomb to follow through with caring for Him after His death and were surprised to find the stone rolled away!

Wednesday - A DEATH OBSERVED

Today’s Scripture: “Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, ‘Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!’ And having said this he breathed his last. Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, saying, ‘Certainly this man was innocent!’” Luke 23:46-47, ESV 

Theme: Jesus surrendered His Spirit to God, simultaneously obeying completely and convincing the soldier observing of His innocence.

Tuesday - DARKNESS TRIED

Today's Scripture: “Pilate then called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people, and said to them, ‘You brought me this man as one who was misleading the people. And after examining him before you, behold, I did not find this man guilty of any of your charges against him.’” Luke 23:13-14, ESV  

Theme: Jesus was found not guilty of any charges, yet He went to the cross anyway.

Monday - JESUS KNEW

Today’s Scripture: “From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.” Matthew 16:21, ESV 

Theme: Jesus knew He would both die and be resurrected.
