Today's Scripture: “And when it grew late, his disciples came to him and said, ‘This is a desolate place, and the hour is now late.’” Mark 6:35, ESV 

Theme: Jesus does His greatest work in desolate places. 

Today’s Scripture:  

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, 

    I will fear no evil, 

for you are with me; 

    your rod and your staff, 

    they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4, ESV 

Theme: We can be fearless – no matter what comes - because God is with us. 

Today's Scripture: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” Number 6:24-26, ESV 

Theme: God’s power and purpose are evident, even amid our deepest trials. 

Today’s Scripture: “Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God to restrain them.” Psalm 36:1, NLT 

Theme: Fear of God helps us remember and respect that we are not in charge. 

Today's Scripture: “And the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: The fast of the fourth month and the fast of the fifth and the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth shall be to the house of Judah seasons of joy and gladness and cheerful feasts. Therefore, love truth and peace.”’ Zechariah 8:18-19, ESV
