Today's Scripture: "You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?" Matthew 18:32b-33 

Theme: We judge others harshly when we forget the generous forgiveness we have received. 

Today’s Scripture: “But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’” Luke 18:13, ESV 

Theme: Humility and asking for mercy for my own sins, not judging others, pleases God. 

Today's Scripture: "The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.'" Luke 18:11-12, ESV 

Theme: Stop justifying yourself and judging others harshly like the Pharisee. 

Today’s Scripture: “If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.” I John 4:20, ESV 

Theme: We show our love for God by our love in relationships, not our judgment and hatred. We can’t love God when we continue to hate people.
