Daily Devotions

Today's Scripture: "For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers." Romans 8:29, ESV 

Theme: A humble and willing worshiper offers adoration, is thankful for acceptance, and allows God to conform that worshiper into His image. 

Today’s Scripture: “Those who make them become like them; so do all who trust in them.” Psalm 115:8 

Theme: When God doesn’t operate the way we want, one wrong response is to attempt to shape Him into something more convenient.

Theme: When God doesn’t operate the way we want, one wrong response is to attempt to build and worship something more convenient. 

Today’s Scripture: “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” Psalm 127:1a, ESV 

Theme: God is the true builder. Building His way means releasing control; God’s mission stalls when one person tries to do what was meant for many. 

Today's Scripture: “For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, ...” Romans 12:4, ESV 

Theme: Every part of the body of Christ has a valued function; none are meant to remain unused.
