Daily Devotions

Jesus promised us a Helper, the Holy Spirit. Please join us as we participate in the five-day devotional called “Holy Spirit, My Help,” designed to give you hope in the middle of challenging and difficult times. 

Memory Verse: “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.” John 16:7, ESV 

Today’s Scripture: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8, ESV 

Theme: When we receive the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to proclaim the Good News. 

Today’s Scripture: “Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.’ And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’” John 20:21-22, ESV

Theme: The Holy Spirit’s presence is a precious gift from God of Himself. He indwells anyone who believes Jesus’ death and resurrection and receives His offer of salvation.

Today's Scripture: “These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:10-11, ESV  

Theme: The Spirit doesn't always give us specific answers but transforms how we understand God's character and trust His faithfulness. 

Today’s Scripture: “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” John 14:26, ESV 

Theme: The Holy Spirit helps us to learn and remember what Jesus taught.
