Daily Devotions

Today’s Scripture: “As they were going along the road, someone said to him, ‘I will follow you wherever you go.’ And Jesus said to him, ‘Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.’” Luke 9:57-58 

Theme: We serve beyond our borders and far from our homes because we want to become more like Jesus, valuing eternal things over temporary comfort and security. 

Today’s Scripture: “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19, ESV 

Theme: We serve globally because in every season, God wants to bring us along to where He is doing a new thing and making a way.  

Today's Scripture: “And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!’” Romans 10:15, ESV 

Theme: Even if you can’t go yourself, you can send others by generously supporting financially. 

Today’s Scripture: “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” Romans 10:14, ESV 

Theme: We serve globally because, like the nation of Israel was used to bless other nations, we believe God will use us to bless others because of our obedience.  

Today’s Scripture: “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.’” Isaiah 6:8, ESV 

Theme: We serve globally because when we received the opportunity, we were willing to go at God’s command.
