The Unbreakable Boy
Theme: Finding Joy through Contentment.
Quick Movie Summary
The Unbreakable Boy tells the true story of a family navigating life's unexpected challenges through two very different perspectives. While Austin embraces each day with contagious joy despite his circumstances, his father, Scott, struggles with unmet expectations and the life he thought he would have. Through their journey, Scott learns that lasting joy isn't found when life gets easier, but in learning contentment in Christ and choosing gratitude in every season.

God’s Story
Read 1 Timothy 6:6-8. According to Paul, what is “great gain”? Discuss what Paul says is enough for us to learn contentment?
Read Philippians 4:10-13. Paul wrote these words while in prison.
• What had Paul learned that allowed him to experience contentment regardless of his circumstances?
• How does trusting Christ change the way we experience both seasons of abundance and seasons of hardship?
After the Credits
Life doesn't always go according to plan, but contentment begins when we choose to trust God right where we are.
This week, when you feel frustrated, anxious, or disappointed, pause and ask yourself:
• Am I focusing on what's missing or on what God has already provided?
• What is one thing I can thank God for right now?
• How can I "plant my feet" and trust Christ instead of chasing what I wish were different?
This week, practice planting your feet. Before reacting to a difficult situation, pause, thank God for one blessing, and ask Him to help you find contentment and joy in the present moment.
