Discussion Guide
This week's message focused on the question, "How do I know what God wants me to do?" We explored the anxiety many people feel about making the “right” decisions in life. While scripture clearly outlines many of God’s commands, there are also gray areas- places where the Bible doesn't give a direct answer. Together, let’s discover biblical wisdom and spiritual clarity for navigating those uncertain moments with faith and confidence.
What you will need:

Jump Start
1. Are you more of an over thinker or over-doer? Share a time when you struggled to know what God wanted you to do. What eventually helped you take a step forward?
2. Read Psalms 16:11, Psalms 130:5. Do you find it difficult to wait for things—or even for someone to finish their story? How does our culture’s demand for instant results challenge your ability to wait on God? What are some practical ways you can grow in spiritual discernment, become a better listener, and trust God’s timing?
3. Read 1 Samuel 3:7-9. What are some ways to grow closer to people we know well? How might those same principles apply to building a relationship with God and learning to recognize His voice?
4. Read Proverbs 3:5-6. How often do you slow down and intentionally seek God before making decisions? What might be holding you back from trusting Him fully in these moments?
5. Read 1 Corinthians 10:31, Romans 8:28. How can these verses reshape our mindset when we’re uncertain about a decision? What does it look like to honor God even when the path isn’t 100% clear?
Action Steps: Commit to setting aside regular quiet time to hear from God. Before making decisions, big or small, learn to stop and pray first. Remember, God works all things for the good, for those that love Him.
