True North | Men's Retreat

True North | Men's Retreat

9/18/2026 • 12:00 AM • Mooresville Campus
Life can move fast like a torrential river that speeds past all the great blessings from God. Your family, your spiritual gifts, the beautiful life God has prepared for you can be swept away as you pursue your career and the lures of this world. This journey on the New River, winding through the Appalachian mountains, offers a rare chance to slow the pace and reclaim, recalibrate, re-envision what matters. As one of only two rivers in the world that flows north, it stands as a reminder that God often calls us to move against the current of the world- to reorient our hearts, our priorities, and our direction toward Him. In this time of canoeing, camping, worship, and learning, you’ll step out of the noise and into a space where God can realign your spirit. It’s an opportunity to rediscover your True North -whether that means strengthening your marriage, deepening your faith, reconnecting with your family, or listening again for the voice of your calling. This retreat is an invitation to return to that center, alongside other men who are navigating the same pressures, the same distractions, and the same longing to live with clarity and purpose. September 18-19 $100 Due to overwhelming response, registration is closed.

We will help you develop your story of how you came to Christ and enjoy Him today. We will give you specific language to introduce the subject in a sensitive manner that won’t be offensive. You will also learn how to communicate the Gospel through spoken and written means. I will share specific stories of how most of my family and many friends have come to Christ. The class will be filled with encouraging examples of what God has done when we are trained and willing to step out and share. A meal will be provided. Registration is required so we can prepare for the meal. Each class builds upon the next so a commitment to all sessions is encouraged. See you soon.
