Today's Scripture: “But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.” Psalm 131:2, ESV  

Theme: Parents can reflect God’s character: caring, feeding, nurturing, and allowing growth, resulting in contentment. 

Today’s Scripture: “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!” Matthew 23:37, ESV 

Theme: Jesus cared for lost people, longing to care for and mother them. Mothering is honorable and includes gathering, protecting, and directing children.   

Today’s Scripture: “She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” Proverbs 31:27-28, ESV 

Theme: Hardworking, caregiving, Godly people are an example for all those around them. 

Today’s Scripture: "Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old." Proverbs 23:22, ESV 

Theme: Consider your parents and others who nurtured you, without disrespecting or dismissing them when they are old. 

Today’s Scripture: “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16, ESV

Theme: Through prayer, God gives us wisdom and discernment in decision-making.
