Daily Devotions

Today’s Scripture: “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17, ESV  

Theme: In every way possible, in everything seen or heard in my life, let me reflect God and my belief in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  

Today’s Scripture: “Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11, ESV 

Theme: “You cannot stay on the sidelines: You were CREATED for more; you were CREATED to worship!  

Today’s Scripture: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23, NIV 

Theme: It is my responsibility to listen for and obey the Word of God, so that I stay in tune with Him. 

Today's Scripture: “As the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, and she despised him in her heart.” 2 Samuel 6:16, ESV  

Theme: Usually, you either worship with all your heart or you stand in judgment of those who do (or don’t). Occasionally, those who are hurting or who are not yet believers are on the sidelines. 

This week, we heard that we must be intentional about keeping our hearts tuned to God. When our faith becomes dry and boring, we must seek Him to restore a tender heart and joy in His presence.  Please join The Cove Church in the five-day devotion plan called “Heart of Worship,” based on Psalm 63.
