Daily Devotions

Today's Scripture: “Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.” 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, ESV  

Theme: Individually, we are God’s temple, holy and sanctified; God dwells with us. Honor and care for your mind, heart, soul, and body.  

Today's Scripture: “... but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God [the Church], built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19b-22, ESV  

Theme: The gathered family and household of God are a holy temple, a place for God to come and meet with us by His Spirit.  

Today’s Scripture: “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” Matthew 7:13-14, ESV 

Theme: If you want to know God, you must come to Him through Jesus, the only Way. 

Today's Scripture: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14, ESV 

Theme: Since Jesus came and His Spirit lives within believers, the temple is near and within us.
