Today’s Scripture: “Behind the second curtain was a second section called the Most Holy Place, having the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron's staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant. Above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat.” Hebrews 9:3-5a, ESV 

Theme: God’s holiness is beyond our comprehension or ability to attain. Only God could make a way save us by His mercy.

Today’s Scripture: “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10: 

Theme: We are worthy to draw near to God because Jesus has cleansed us from all unrighteousness.

Today's Scripture: “but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.’” 1 Peter 1:15-16, ESV 

Theme: We should strive to partner with the Spirit to live holy lives. When we fail, we trust the saving blood of Jesus.

Monday - WORTHY TO ENTER

Today’s Scripture: “...he [Jesus] entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption.” Hebrews 9:12, ESV 

Theme: Jesus is worthy to enter the Holy of Holies and rescue us eternally.

Friday - MY PEOPLE

Today's Scripture: “...if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14, ESV 

Theme: Because Christians are now the people called by God’s Name, we have the responsibility of praying for and changing the tide of the nation.
