Daily Devotions

Today's Scripture: “Now it is superfluous for me to write to you about the ministry for the saints, for I know your readiness, of which I boast about you to the people of Macedonia, saying that Achaia has been ready since last year. And your zeal has stirred up most of them.” 2 Corinthians 9:1-2, ESV  

Theme: Your generosity encourages other believers in their journeys towards greater faithfulness.  

Today’s Scripture: “Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit.” Philippians 4:17, ESV  

Theme: God isn’t after your tithe so much as the character produced by obedience. 

Today’s Scripture: “I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity.” Philippians 4:10, ESV 

Theme: Giving to God’s work being done through the church is an opportunity for us to take part in the mission together. 

Today's Scripture: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.” Matthew 23:23, ESV  

Theme: Jesus confirmed tithing is necessary while reminding us not to neglect upholding justice, mercy and faithfulness.   

Today's Scripture: “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.” Malachi 3:10, ESV 

Theme: Only when you give a tithe of all you earn does God invite you to test Him.
