Daily Devotions

Today's Scripture: “When Peter came to himself, he said, ‘Now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.’” Acts 12:11, ESV   

Theme: You can trust God to reveal His power even in perplexing and uncertain circumstances.  

Today’s Scripture: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9, ESV 

Theme: Follow God even when we are afraid; do it anyway. 

Today's Scripture: “But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7, ESV   

Theme: Be willing to get access to the treasure of obeying and serving out of God’s power and not our own. 

Today’s Scripture: “Now an Angel of the Lord said to Philip, 'Rise and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.' This is a desert place. And he rose and went.” Acts 8:26-27a, ESV 

Theme: Be willing to get up and go to uncomfortable places, particularly when we have been sent by God.  

Today's Scripture: “I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf.” Romans15:30, ESV 

Theme: Stretch yourself to work and pray together with God’s family whenever you are asked.
