Friday - RESCUED

RESCUED

Richard Harris

Today’s Scripture: “But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57, NLT

Theme: God provides every victory in this life and the next. Acknowledge and thank Him.

CHALLENGES

Jesus Christ provides our ultimate victory through His life on earth, solidifying for us an eternity in God’s Kingdom. A life lived walking with Jesus prepares us for many challenges. All of us face challenges every day. When routine suddenly becomes the ultimate challenge, what prepares us for that crucial moment of action? Walking regularly with Jesus and consulting His Word regularly prepares us for that moment. Life experiences may help us grow, change, conquer fear, prepare, trust, and find peace in our actions. Yet, our Spiritual experiences shape our perspective of how we view our challenges and prepare us for those moments. Many Christians have used their life experiences in amazing ways by depending on Jesus to prepare themselves for any contingency. Their work becomes their prayer. They know that God - who is really in charge - has His hand in everything that happens.

SERVING OTHERS

Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurrection are considered the ultimate example of serving others, and we are called to follow Him. Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free (Ephesians 6:7-8).

MIRACLES

When we understand God’s role in our lives, we open our eyes to the little miracles that happen every day and attribute them to Him. Every now and then, the big miracles transpire. Those that face major challenges every day will testify to the faith that compels them throughout all that they do. Their work becomes their prayer, as their work becomes a backdrop of faith. As a prepared Christian, what would you do when the challenges come?

Make it Personal: How are you preparing your heart and mind to see God’s victories? We can tend to either give undue credit to ourselves or brush things away as coincidences. Pray for God to humble you to see His power and take time to admire and thank Him today.

Pray: Lord, You give us gracious victory, every day, through Jesus Christ – our Savior. Your daily miracles bring us to salvation. Let our work be a constant prayer of thanks to You for our love and learning through Your words. Sin and death have no hold on us. That power was broken by the death and resurrection of your Son… our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. Amen
