Daily Devotions

Today’s Scripture: “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.” Matthew 6:5, ESV  

Theme: Pray with a sincere heart. 

Today's Scripture: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2, ESV 

Theme: Praying and focusing on God’s will, and aligning ours to His, renews our minds. 

Today’s Scripture: “And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them.” Acts 4:24, ESV 

Theme: When the Church hears what God is doing, we respond and participate through prayer! 

Today’s Scripture: “If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.” John 13:11, ESV 

Theme: Humility towards each other shows we obey and worship God. 

Today’s Scripture: “Peter said to him, ‘You shall never wash my feet.’ Jesus answered him, ‘If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.’” John 13:8, ESV 

Theme: Peter wants to exclude leaders from humiliation; Jesus instructs leaders not to avoid humble acceptance of menial, unpleasant, or painful tasks.
