Today's Scripture: “But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, ‘Abraham, Abraham!’ And he said, ‘Here I am.’ He said, ‘Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.’” Genesis 22:11-12, ESV

Theme: Much more so than Isaac, Jesus is the beloved only Son who is the perfect sacrifice.

Monday - UNIMAGINABLE

Today's Scripture: “When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built the altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. " Genesis 22:9, ESV

Theme: The scene of Isaac on the alter is a foreshadowing of the very real sacrifice of Jesus.

Friday - JUST DO IT

Today's Scripture: “So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.” 2 Kings 5:14, ESV

Theme: But if we will obey, at last, we will be washed, cleansed and healed by the blood of Jesus, just like Naaman was healed of his leprosy when he obeyed.

Theme: Our self-sufficiency can cause us to belittle or disregard the crucial steps God uses in our restoration.
