Today's Scripture: “And Mary said, ‘Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.’ And the angel departed from her.” Luke 1:38, ESV

Theme – Faith in God turns what seems impossible into a blessing in your life and the lives of others.

Today’s Scripture: “And the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.’” Luke 1:30-31, ESV

Theme: Even good news can be scary, while at the same time, exciting.

Today’s Scripture: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14, ESV

Theme: Our attempt to reach God through our own effort is religion; God reached out and revealed Himself to us in His Son, Jesus.

Today's Scripture: “But Jacob said, ‘I will not let you go unless you bless me.’ Then he said, ‘Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.’” Genesis 32:26b, 28, ESV

Theme: When we get in the presence of God, we are forever changed.

Today's Scripture: “And he dreamed, and behold, there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it! And behold, the Lord stood above it and said, ‘I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring.’” Genesis 28:12-13, ESV

Theme: The God of Abraham and Isaac revealed Himself to Jacob in a dream. He also wants to be in a personal relationship with us, not just be known as “our fathers’ God.”
