This weekend in Romans we discussed chapters 7-8. Paul teaches us about our struggle between our old flesh nature and new nature in Christ. Let’s dive in together and see why we still seem to fall into our old ways so often and how Christ solves that problem for us.

We all have different experiences with reading the Bible. We hope that through this series you can find the way you most enjoy spending time in God’s Word. Try different versions and find the one that makes sense to you. This week we explored Romans 4, 5, and 6. Paul takes us back to the story of Abraham and his great faith in believing that God would do what he promised even when it seemed impossible.

We are starting a brand-new series this week where we will dive into the book of Romans. We want to show and encourage you that God’s word is all we need. Through this study, we will explore the profound truths that Paul shares and how they apply to our lives today. Let's prepare our hearts and minds to be transformed by His Word.

Pastors Sergey and Natasha are living in Israel where living in war is the norm. During violence and chaos, they choose to find strength and joy. Finding their hope in Christ allows them to be a light to the community. We can be encouraged by their faithfulness to trust in God through the difficult seasons of our lives.

In a world filled with hate, bitterness, and chaos, there is still something bigger that has the power to change us. That is the love of Jesus Christ! His love can change lives and unite people even in chaos. This weekend we watched a movie called Woodlawn. A true story about a football team in Birmingham Alabama in 1973, when racial tension was at an all-time high. When one man dared to share the love of Christ, it showed the power of love and brought the miracle of unity.

Life can hit us out of nowhere and our world can be flipped upside down in an instant. We live in a broken world, where good and bad seasons come in our life. Sometimes in the bad seasons we can lose hope. This weekend we discovered where to find real hope despite our circumstances.

This week at Movies at the Cove we watched Sully. The true story of Pilot Sullenberger landing his damaged plane in the Hudson River to save the lives of the passengers and crew. Only later to be questioned and scrutinized of his decision. Let’s look at how we can relate this to following God with conviction and certainty.

What an exciting time as we dive into Movies at The Cove 2024! We kicked off our series with Guardians of the Galaxy. A group of rag tag misfits set out to gain riches while battling their own personal issues. Ultimately coming together for the greater good and learning what they needed in life was so much more. Things may look a little different over the next few weeks. Have fun with your Life Group.

As believers, we are commissioned to “go and make disciples”. This can seem scary, but God promised to be with us. This weekend we looked at how we are here on this earth to share The Good News of Jesus through our own stories.

As believers, we have been entrusted with different spiritual gifts, talents, money, influence, jobs, and family. Everything we have comes from God and He expects us to be faithful with those resources to advance His Kingdom. When we are good stewards with what He has given us, we are a blessing to others and the value of what we do multiplies.
