You may have had an experience where you were confronted with an anti-Christianity worldview. Maybe that was when you went off to college; or you grew up in a non-religious household; or you are challenged because of your faith every single week at work. These conversations have the potential to shake our faith. Have you moved beyond those initial doubts and researched your own faith? Can we really trust in an Eternal God and still believe the scientific facts we see right before us? Are faith and science mutually exclusive?

Sometimes life is easy and fun. Other times, it is heartbreaking. In those difficult times, we can doubt God, His goodness, and His power. Sometimes we feel as if God has turned His back on us. How could a good God allow such terrible things to happen? This week, let’s discuss how suffering and a good God are not mutually exclusive.

We are all looking for provision, maybe even a miracle. Mary and Jesus were attending a wedding as mother and son when a problem came up. Let’s look at the first recorded miracle and the way that Jesus’ mother depended upon and expected provision from Him. We might just learn the recipe for faith in the process.

In the world right now, everyone espouses tolerance. Half the time, we want to please others and agree with them, yet we want our rights, and we want things our way. Jesus said He is the Way. Let’s look at that claim.

Everything in our world changes every few years. New inventions change every aspect of daily living much faster than one decade or one generation. So how can we trust that the Bible is still reliable, relevant, and trustworthy as a manual for living?

This week, let’s consider how the last week of Jesus’ life affects us all year long. Take time, even if your Life Group doesn’t meet, to meditate on the events that changed everything.

This weekend is known as Palm Sunday. It starts off Holy Week for Christians all over the world. In the Jewish world, this week leads up to the Feast of Passover. The time of Christ’s great sacrifice is near. As we read anew of Jesus’ triumphal approach to Jerusalem, being hailed as the “Son of David” and worshipped by the crowd, what does it have to do with us? Who do you say Jesus is?

This message is based on one of the most confusing parables of Jesus. Yet it teaches us about our use of the Master’s resources and how God intends our wealth to be used for both building the Kingdom and our own good. Part of our spiritual growth includes how we use our treasure for eternal influence. Let’s learn how our finances can affect our legacy.

If you want your life to matter—both today and for eternity—you must use it wisely. That means making the most of your time, your talents, your giftedness. We’ll study the Parable of the Talents and the life of King David to see how to do exactly that!
